Today is the 14th day since I embarked on this journey. Today is also the 14th day since I’ve been neglecting this blog! Sorry for that!

Unfortunately, I have not yet found the time to put into words what I have experienced on the way.

On the one hand, this has a little to do with the fact that I was unsure in what form and to what extent I want to report here.

On the other hand, the days are filled by cycling, the fulfillment of all basic needs and the associated effort is huge and I have not yet given myself the space to develop a writing routine.

It’s probably hard to imagine from the outside how little time is left of the day after all the things like eating, drinking, washing, finding a place to sleep, unpacking, pitching the tent, sleeping, taking down the tent, packing up, drying things, and more which is done somewhere along the road 🙂

As I write this text, I am lying in the inland of Croatia (about 50km north of Zadar) in an armoured vehicle that dates from a battle in the early 90s. Around me are barking dogs run and I am glad to have chosen this sleeping place.

Yesterday I made a detour into the Velebit mountains, arrived completely exhausted at a simple hikers hut and slept in a multi-bed room.

Today I was riding comparatively much downhill and through insanely beautiful rock formations.

Since it is not possible for me to summarize the last two weeks in a blog post, I’ll just leave it at that. It remains exciting and in the last 14 days about the complete scale of emotional worlds have been covered.

My eyes keep closing… see you soon 🙂

Heute ist der 14. Tag seitdem ich mich auf die Reise begeben habe. Heute ist auch der 14. Tag seit dem ich diesen Blog vernachlässige! Sorry dafür!

Leider habe ich bisher nicht die Zeit gefunden um das bisher erlebte hier in Worte zu fassen.

Dies hat dinerseits ein wenig damit zu tun, dass ich selbst unsicher war in welcher form und welchem Umfang ich hier berichten möchte.

Andererseits sind die Tage durch das Radeln, die Erfüllung aller Grundbedürfnisse und die damit verbundene Anstrengung ganz gut ausgefüllt sind und ich habe mir bisher nicht den Raum gegeben, eine Schreibroutine zu entwickeln.

Es ist von aussen vermutlich kaum vorstellbar, wie wenig Zeit vom Tag übrig bleibt, nachdem unterwegs alle Dinge wie Essen, trinken, waschen, Schlafplatz suchen, auspacken, Zelt aufbauen, schlafen, Zelt abbauen, einpacken, Sachen trocknen und vieles mehr erledigt sind 🙂

Während ich diesen Text schreibe, liege ich im Inland von Kroatien (ca. 50km nördlich von Zadar) in einem gepanzerten Fahrzeug dass aus einem Gefecht Anfang der 90er Jahre stammt. Um mich herum laufen bellende Hunde und ich bin froh diesen Schlafplatz gewählt zu haben.

Nachdem ich gestern einen Abstecher ins Velebit Gebirge gemacht habe und dann völlig entkräftet dort in einem Mehrbettzimmer in einer einfachen Wanderhütte übernachtet habe, ging es heute vergleichsweise viel bergab und durch wahnsinnig schöne Gesteinsformationen.

Da es mir nicht möglich ist, die letzten zwei Wochen in einem Blogbeitrag zusammenzufassen, lass ich dass einfach mal so stehen. Es bleibt spannend und in den letzten 14 Tagen wurde ungefähr die komplette Skala an Gefühlswelten abgedeckt.

Meine Augen fallen zu… bis bald 🙂
